Default Soloing Nahpui Quarter with 330rit or terra tank

I've been trying to do this for a while but to no avail.

I put scrounge healing on my rit to deal with the star light, but they are still very hard to kill because they keep healing themselves over and over. I also tried a bunch of terra tank builds but achieved the same result, only with my slower killing.

Any tips would be great,

thnx.

Don't know if it helps, but I used to 55 that area using Zealots Fire to just out-damage the healing. Just make sure to take a weapon switch to go 105 when facing the Star Lights as they have a skill that steals 50 life and will kill you fast.

I use a modded Touch Ranger with [skill]Defile Flesh[/skill]

Though I've never bothered to kil the Celestrials since I'm there for Feathers anyway, and groups with 2 Lights give me trouble.

I ALWAYS make sure to attack the Light first, apply Defile to him ASAP, if there is a Sentinal or two about I hit Dwarven Stability and Whirling Defense and he dies super fast.

I don't know how well Scourge Works on them, They may just be healing themselves for just as much as they are loosing and you get no where.

Done it solo multiple times........

here's the duo, but solo is the same build, just slower and from far left (kirin first) to far right.

the most money i've ever made (and the fastest) came from running people through Nahpui Quarter with my ele. I charge people 4 or 5k a pop (i duo with a guildie). This ends up making us each 15k in about 13 minutes. Anything with a platinum to minutes ratio above 1:1 is a get rich quick way of making money. So i will copy this from my other post....since it is relavent.

Note: For normal mode you can use any earth staff of enchanting you want, for hard mode i suggest a shield with a "Like a Rolling Stone" inscription and "Of Devotion" shield handle with a +20% enchant sword or axe w/ "I have the Power" inscription.

All geomancer armor, highest vigor rune you can afford, minor energy storage, minor air, superior earth headpeice.

16 Earth Magic
10 Energy Storage
9 Inspiration Magic
4 Air Magic

[skill]Glyph of Swiftness[/skill][skill]Obsidian Flesh[/skill][skill]Sliver Armor[/skill][skill]Aura of Restoration[/skill][skill]Kinetic Armor[/skill][skill]Stone Striker[/skill][skill]Mantra of Earth[/skill][skill]Stoneflesh Aura[/skill]

Usage: Use Glyph of swiftness to maintain ob flesh. Maintain EVERYTHING at all times with the exception of sliver armor. In normal mode, maintaining kinetic is somewhat optional, but suggested to ease the run. If both Stoneflesh Aura and Obsidian flesh are ending at the same time, Obsidian Flesh has higher priority.....a second or five without stoneflesh is easily survived, ESPECIALLY if you have kinetic armor up.

One runner kills the turtle and kirin, the 2nd runner kills the dragon and pheonix.

They should be killed in this order
Necro (turtle)
Elementalist (dragon)
Monk (kirin)
Mesmer (pheonix)

This means runner one goes in the middle left portal, and runner 2 goes in the middle right portal.

It's a cakewalk until you get to the kirin. By this time, runner 2 should be waiting just outside of the pheonix boss's aggro. When runner 1 kills the kirin, an essence of kirin will spawn right by runner 2....plan for the knockdown. Runner 2 should kill that kirin before aggroing the pheonix boss. Once that kirin is dead, while waiting just outside the pheonix's aggro, time your enchants so that you use ob flesh and stoneflesh right after one another......then aggo the pheonix boss. Upon aggroing, DO NOT CAST ANYTHING! There will be kirins in the mob, which will knock you down at the same time......once they knock you down and you get up, cast Kinetic Armor. It has a 3 second cast time, which is perfect for drawing out the Pheonix's [skill]leech signet[/skill] Once she interrupts your kinetic armor, cast ur enchants again to maintain, and cast sliver armor ASAP.

Prior to casting sliver armor, you should be right next to her.

Generally the more experienced runner should take the pheonix, due to the higher difficulty. The runner who kills the kirin is advised to take "I am Unstoppable!" or [skill]Ward of Stability[/skill] in place of Kinetic Armor to counter knockdown from the kirin boss's [skill]Signet of Judgment[/skill]

Have fun!

NOTE: For speed's sake, once you both spawn, you can run to the first bosses without obsidian flesh up (but WITH stoneflesh, stonestriker, and mantra of earth)...however, you must maintain ob flesh prior to aggroing those bosses.

NOTE2: It's more difficult than it sounds, but with practice it becomes very easy. It's about the only way I've been able to make 55k in 50 minutes on any given day. This includes selling the MASSIVE amounts of feathers you will collect along the way.

Oh yea.....if soloing, you can run without ob flesh all the way to turtle boss, but from then on u must maintain it and walk uber slow.

I guess with your build you just pump the star lights with stone daggers?

Stone Daggers isn't even in there. The only offensive skill is sliver armor and trust me, it dispatches with star lights better than scourge healing or stone daggers ever could.

Use Scourge Healing and Pain Inverter with 330hp and you will beable to kill them... capable of taking out two star lights in a group. If there is only one star light, and he is the only enemy left in that group, try pulling him to another group to get some energy to finish him off. If there is more than 2, best not even to bother with them and just run on by... It does take some good timing of spells, and spamming of Scourge to take on two. All else fails, you can always dual smite with a friend. Using 600hp Rt/Mo with Pain Inverter and Smite monk is works pretty fast for Nahpui Quarter.

600/Smite is far better than soloing for nahpui quarter. you slice through it like a hot spoon through jell-O. 600SS/Signetsmite works beautifully, though i bring Spell Breaker so i can hit chests near the bosses. Feathers fly at you, as do celestials and other nice drops.

The OP said "soloing"....not "farming".

sure, you could solo it - enjoy your inferior profit.

it's no secret that 600/Smite tears through the place, and soloing is slower and harder, and will yield less profit over time.

My build works as both a duo and solo.... Just so we're comparing apples to apples, duoing takes 13 minutes or less with mine.... At 4k per run thats 12k in 13 minutes......each.

Dr Dimento

I tried your build, and a huge problem I ran into is that one of the star lights attacks pierces straight through everything even if I maintain all 7 skills but sliver armor..

Just wondering if I'm doing anything wrong, I die before I can get to the kirin even if I maintain everything. I'm using geomancer's with galigord's stone staff.

Only 3 skills on the whole mission can affect you in any way, they are.....

[skill]Nightmare Weapon[/skill]
Star Lights have this, and since it is life stealing there is no way to reduce it. Sliver Armor does have a bonus of increasing the chance to block. The best way to handle this is to kill the starlights first (get as close to them as possible before casting sliver) and spam AoR and Stone Striker to self heal.

I have never died from this..........

[skill]Signet of Judgment[/skill]
The Kirins all have this. It does damage you AND knocks you down, but the recharge gives you enough time to kill them before they can recast. This does kill me every once and a while when i don't plan for the knockdown or Sliver just refuses to target the kirins (but it almost always targets kirins and star lights FIRST for some reason)

[skill]Leech Signet[/skill]
This is the one the mesmer boss (phoenix i believe) has. This is why we take kinetic.......just to draw this out. The recharge is enough that you should be able to cast sliver, ob flesh, and stoneflesh aura twice (once right before aggro, and once after aggro....only cast sliver when ur right next to it).

This has killed me more than anything (in combination with Signet of Judgement). It is also why we save the Phoenix for last.....so you only have to deal with the interrupt once.
